Getting to Central Park: Planning Your Trip

Choose a park entrance, check transit service and find the meeting point for your ride.

Start with your destination

Central Park has many entrances. Before picking a subway or bus route, identify the entrance closest to your first destination on the Conservancy’s map and visitor guide. A west-side memorial, a south-end meeting point and a mid-park attraction can require different approaches.

Check transit on the day

Use MTA for current subway and bus routes, service changes and accessibility information. Allow time to exit the station, navigate the street and reach the specific entrance or meeting point. Weekend and late-night service changes can affect a journey.

Meeting Central Park Pedalers

Our booking listings give 1427 6th Ave, New York, NY 10019 as a meeting point, but follow the instructions for your selected reservation. Read our meeting-point guide and keep your confirmation available. Call +1 (347) 258-6630 if the instructions are unclear.

Pick the station for your entrance

For a visit to the southwest corner, consider 59 St–Columbus Circle; for the southeast side, 5 Av/59 St may be relevant. These are examples, not guaranteed routes from your location. Open the MTA subway map, identify the stop and check service changes and accessibility for your travel date. The park map shows entrance locations.

For a booked ride, navigate to the address on your own confirmation; a station near the park is not necessarily the driver’s meeting point.

Choose the destination before choosing a station

Central Park is long: a station convenient for one entrance may be far from your meeting point. For this company, start with the address in your booking confirmation rather than a generic search for Central Park. Compare the final walking distance and accessible station options using the MTA accessibility information, then check live service changes before leaving.
